Everything the shop actually needs
No half-built modules and no roadmap dressed up as a feature list. This is what RentJinie does today.
Booking management
The counter workflow, from enquiry to handover.
- Create a booking in under a minute once your inventory is in.
- Live availability as you choose dates — double-bookings are caught at the counter.
- Delivery or pickup recorded against each booking.
- Returns checked in piece by piece, with the condition of each item recorded — take back part of a booking now and the rest later.
- Late fees per item: only what comes back late is charged, at that item's own rate, with the option to waive it.
- Customers can return at any of your branches; the goods travel home on a stock transfer automatically.
- Change a booking after it is made: add items, extend the return date, or change quantities — the bill and deposit update themselves.
Inventory with variants
Stock that matches what is actually on your shelf.
- Items with size, colour and configuration variants.
- Ready-made categories for your type of business — clothing, tent house, electronics and more — that you can rename, hide or extend with your own.
- Rent out more than one kind of stock? Each type keeps its own categories and fields, and inventory filters by type.
- Per-variant stock counts and pricing, so a size 42 is not confused with a size 38.
- Price by the day, week, month or event — a tent priced per event is charged once, however many days the function runs.
- Low-stock alerts before you promise something you do not have.
- Bulk Excel import: one template with a tab per type of stock, category dropdowns and a preview before anything is saved. Re-uploading adds stock instead of duplicating it.
- Optional piece-level tracking for high-value goods you need to follow individually.
Cleaning workflow
Built for clothing and costume rental.
- A returned item enters a cleaning state automatically.
- It stays blocked from re-booking until it is marked clean.
- Nothing goes back out unwashed because someone was in a hurry.
Customer records
Know who you are handing your stock to.
- Full rental history for every customer.
- Outstanding dues visible at a glance.
- ID-proof capture kept on file against the customer record.
Billing & payments
The money side, including the awkward parts.
- Advances and part payments — the balance follows the customer, not your memory.
- Security deposits kept apart from the bill: collect, refund, or keep part of one to pay for damage.
- Dues and refunds owed are tracked per customer across all their bookings — settle them with one payment, split oldest first.
- A dues limit per branch warns staff, or stops the booking, when a customer already owes too much.
- Final settlement in one step: the deposit pays the bill first, the customer pays the rest, and what is left goes back.
- A running account per customer, and automatic reminders when money is still owed after a return.
- A shop ledger: every rupee in and out each day, and what should be in the cash drawer and each account.
- GST only if your business charges it: switch it on, pick the rate per booking (5, 12, 18, 28%), and optionally on late fees and damage too.
- One security deposit per booking, typed at the counter — and if your shop requires it, no booking without it.
- A sales ledger: every booking with its sale price, customer, who booked it and the dates — downloadable to Excel.
- UPI, cash, card and cheque all recorded as payment methods.
- Server-generated PDF invoices and receipts, so your copy matches the system's.
Reports
Figures you can hand to your accountant.
- Revenue, inventory utilisation and stock status.
- Late returns and customer reports.
- Every report exports to Excel.
Multi-store & staff roles
One organisation, many stores.
- Add branches from the app. One shared catalogue, with stock, bookings and staff kept per branch.
- Move stock between branches: send it, and the other branch receives it. Anything missing on the way is recorded, and stock a booking needs never leaves.
- See what your other branches hold before telling a customer no, and set a different price per branch when you need to.
- An All-branches view for owners: today's totals, dues and overdue returns across every branch, with a per-branch breakdown and branch-wise revenue reports.
- Invite your team by email. Owner, manager and staff roles with different permissions — and the owner decides whether staff may cancel, give money back, see reports or give bigger discounts.
- Staff assigned per store — people see only their own store.
- Complete isolation from every other organisation on the platform.
Mobile app for your team
Because this job does not happen at a desk.
- Vendor app for iOS and Android alongside the web panel.
- Owners, managers and staff each sign in with their own account.
- Push notifications for the things that need attention.
Get found by customers near you
A free listing, if you want one.
- Turn on “Show my shop on RentJinie” and people searching near you find your shop on rentjinie.com and in the RentJinie app.
- You choose what shows: your map pin, how far you serve, contact details, and which items appear (with a price or “price on request”).
- Customers send an enquiry for their dates; you reply, give a price, and turn it into a booking in one tap.
- No commission, ever. Reviews from customers you actually dealt with build your rating.

What RentJinie does not do
Customers can find listed shops and send enquiries, but they cannot book or pay online through RentJinie — there is no checkout and no payment gateway. Your shop confirms every booking and collects payment directly, and we take no commission. If online booking matters to you, tell us — but do not buy on the expectation that it exists today.
